Jake Paul receives fresh undisputed world title challenge in move that would stun the boxing world

The 27-year-old defeated Mike Tyson on Friday, November 15 but is already plotting his next move.

Jake Paul has received an ‘offer’ from undisputed world title-holding boxer Artur Beterbiev.

Paul, 27, eased to a convincing unanimous decision points victory over Tyson, 58, on Friday evening and has been linked with several fights, including a potential MMA showdown with UFC star Conor McGregor after the pair engaged in an exchange of words on X in the hours that followed the fight.

But it is another highly acclaimed fighter who has offered Paul an offer he may not be able to refuse.

Beterbiev, 39, is the current WBA, WBC, IBF and WBO light heavyweight champion, having defeated Dmitry Bivol in October.

Paul replied to a tweet regarding a potential offer.

“Just seen this…” he posted on X.

“Top 5-pound-pound fighter in the world calling me out.”

“4 years in and I run this sport.”

Then, the Russian-born fighter weighed in with his reply.

“After four years it’s time to have a serious challenges,” Beterbiev said.

“Didn’t notice your acceptance or rejection.

“So what are we gonna do?”

It is unclear if talks have started between the fighter’s teams but considering how common internet personalities fighting ‘proper’ boxers/MMA stars has became this would not surprise supporters of both fighters.

If the fight were to happen, this would no doubt be Paul’s biggest challenge.

The 39-year-old is yet to experience defeat in 21 fights – 20 of these victories came via knockout, which is a frightening prospect for a novice boxer like Paul.

Fight fans were quick to give their thoughts on social media.

One said: “Going from fighting Bivol to Jake Paul would be the wildest change up in boxing history.”

A second added: “He’ll probably challenge Jorge Masvidal or Nick Diaz instead.”

With a third saying: “No real boxer would ever reject the chance to fight for the undisputed world title.

“This right here will tell us if Jake is a legit boxer or if he’s just in it for the money

“It’s not like he has an undefeated record that he needs to protect.”

As a fourth explained: “He saying all this but he been calling out the best boxer in the world, Canelo? Doesn’t make sense lol so either you scared or you scared.”

Yesterday, Paul’s former opponent Tommy Fury saw his next bout confirmed for January 18 – he will face ex-UFC title challenger Darren Till on January 18.
